Greetings from a Frigid Foscoe Fox~

The winter chill has set in with our high only reaching 35 degrees today. The last two days have brought a dusting of snow, and a touch of "snizzle" (the locals word for a snowy-icy mix)! The ski slopes are loving this weather!

The Christmas countdown has started here in the High Country, and Foscoe Rentals is busily awaiting their guests for the holiday rush! If you are arriving this weekend, be sure to bring your winter jacket, you will need it for sure! If you are looking for something festive to do in the area, Studio K Dance Workshop will be presenting the holiday classic The Nutcracker at Schaefer Center of Performing Arts, December 13 and 14th. For details visit http://theschaefercenter.org/events. Sugar Mountain will also be hosting Sugar Fest beginning December 12 with Olympic Figure Skating Silver Medalist Paul Wylie performing at the  rink. Saturday, December 13 will have skating, skiing and tubing all day, followed by live music and fireworks! Sunday will conclude the events with special demonstrations and ski clinics. For information on this event, visit http://www.skisugar.com/sugarfest/.

We hope to see you soon in the beautiful North Carolina mountains!

                                                                                                   Warmest Wishes~

Greetings from Foscoe Fox~

The rain arrived this week and it looks as though it is here for the weekend. Even though we have had warmer daytime temperatures, the nights are still cool enough for the slopes to make snow! All of our local ski and tubing slopes are up and running, and the tree farms are busy cutting and baling trees, making wreaths and roping. With Christmas only three weeks away, the local shops are gearing up for the last minute hustle and bustle of season.

Coming to the High Country this weekend, be sure to visit Big Ridge Tree Farm for your choose and cut experience. Located just up the road from our office, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa on your hayride to a beautiful, historical log cabin in the woods. Trek through the field and find your perfect Christmas tree, and pick up a wreath or two to top off your decorations!

If you haven't planned your holiday getaway to the mountains, give the office a call. The girls have released the properties for a three night minimum stay! Make your plans to curl up by the fire and relax before ringing in the New Year!

                                                                                                           Warmest Regards~
